R/V Sebastes

R/V Sebastes cruising out of harbor
R/V Sebastes was built by Anderson Boats in Santa Barbara and purchased at the initiation of PISCO for use at UC Santa Cruz. The mission of the R/V Sebastes is identical to that of the
R/V Paragon with the exception of night operations, and heavier deployments.
Vessel specifications:
R/V Sebastes is 22.5 feet in length and powered by a single 150-horsepower gas outboard with a 25-horsepower kicker for emergency propulsion. The vessel has a large working deck (7.5 x 10 feet), and has a very sea-worthy hull design and fabrication. It normally cruises at about 25 knots, and can accommodate up to 6 divers and gear. Contact
