A group of California ocean leaders, including Cat Kuhlman (CA Ocean Resources Management Program), Skyli McAfee (CA Ocean Science Trust), Liz Whiteman (CA Ocean Science Trust), Meg Caldwell (Center for Ocean Solutions, Stanford University), Eric Bjorkstedt (NOAA SW Fisheries Science Center), Jenn Caselle (PISCO and UC Santa Barbara), Matt Armsby (Resources Law Group), Sarah Sikich (Heal the Bay) and Samantha Murray (Ocean Conservancy), will be attending the 2013 International Marine Protected Areas Congress next week in Marseille, France. They will be speaking about California’s marine protected areas (MPAs) and the Marine Life Protection Act for an international audience, as well as soaking up global MPA stories from around the world.
