POLICY AND OUTREACH ocean policy & management topics A major goal of the Partnership for Interdisciplinary Studies of Coastal Oceans (PISCO) is to provide accurate, timely scientific information that is relevant to ocean policy and management. Our findings are valuable for a diversity of applications, ranging from energy development, fisheries management, erosion and replenishment impacts, aquaculture, climate change, protected areas, and ecosystem-based management. Here we highlight current topics in
marine conservation that we are addressing through our research and
outreach programs. In the future, look for more information on
these and other topics. Climate change and ecosystem-based management topics are coming in summer 2007. |
