Jessica Reimer is primarily interested in understanding how we can improve environmental health while fulfilling the needs of people. As a marine ecologist, her role as Assistant Project Director for The Science of Marine Protected Areas has allowed her to draw on her background to help communicate the important scientific evidence that supports the use of marine protected areas as a tool that can improve both the economy and the environment. Jessica has worn many hats throughout the development of the project, from editor to web developer and social media guru to logistics coordinator. She plans to continue working at the interface of science, conservation, and policy to develop sustainable solutions to challenges related to social and environmental wellbeing. She obtained a M.S. in Ecology from Oregon State University in 2014.
